This is the initial Call for Papers for the Eighth Annual International Gatherings in Biosemiotics, to be held on June 23-28, 2008 at the University of the Aegean on the island of Syros in Greece.

The Scientific Advisory Committee of the Eighth Annual Gatherings in Biosemiotics welcomes paper proposals from researchers in any academic discipline who are investigating the real-world use of sign processes among or within living organisms.

Proposals and CVs should be sent as separate single one-page files using standard word-processing formats (.doc or .rtf — no PDF files please) and file-named: YOUR LAST NAME_ABSG8 and YOUR LAST NAME_CV, respectively.

These proposals should be sent to [email protected] by January 31, 2008.
