Online Ordering

In December 2005 the BSHS introduced online ordering facilities, allowing users throughout the world to pay directly and securely using a range of debit and credit cards (including, at the time of writing: Visa; MasterCard; Maestro; Switch; Visa Debit; Delta.) 

Our shopping basket facility, provided by RomanCart, allows you to list a number of items for purchase and edit your selections before entering any payment details.  You can view the contents of your basket or check out at any time via this link:

Payments themselves are handled by Protx.  Your details will be handled by a dedicated secure server, rather than the BSHS site itself; all billing information is encrypted to guard against the small risk of interception.  Most browsers indicate the use of a secure connection by displaying a padlock symbol at the top right or bottom right of the browser window. 

We aim to respond to your order or get back to you if there is a query within 14 days.  All transactions will be charged in Pounds Sterling.  If you cancel your subscription prior to any publications being sent to you, we will refund your money less a small administration charge to cover our costs incurred to date.  If publications have been provided then we will refund your subscription less the cost of sending those publications and the administration charge mentioned above.  No refunds will be made if you cancel your subscription more than 3 months from joining.  Our terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights in the UK.
