Job: Historian of Physics, Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology, University of Toronto
Applications are invited for a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology at the University of Toronto.
AOS: History of physics and related sciences. Familiarity with the interplay between philosophy of science and history of science will be considered an asset. The successful candidate must be outstanding at teaching and research, and will be expected to make a significant contribution to the quality and status of the Institute. Ph.D. completed or in hand by time of appointment is required. The expected starting date for the position is July 1, 2005. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
