University of Pennsylvania – Assistant Professor in social, cultural and/or historical dimensions of health and illness
The University of Pennsylvania Department of the History and Sociology of Science seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in the social, cultural, and/or historical dimensions of health and illness, to begin 1 July 2006. Ph.D. in anthropology, sociology, history, or related discipline required. Candidates with research interests in international or cross-cultural aspects of medicine, the social determinants of population health, or the history of health and medicine are of particular interest. The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in the Health & Societies Program, an interdisciplinary undergraduate major administered through History and Sociology of Science.
