he Institute for the Medical Humanities (IMH) at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary faculty who engage in research and teaching of medical students, trainees, and graduate students in the biomedical sciences. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in history and a primary interest in medical humanities; a research interest in history of medicine and health care, the history and philosophy of sickness, intellectual and cultural history related to health care, medicine, and science, or health and science policy; an ability to teach students preparing for careers in the health professions, the biomedical sciences, or the medical humanities; and a willingness to seek external grant funding.
