The Australasian Association for the History, Philosophy and Social Studies of Science (AAHPSSS) Conference 2003 to be held at Whitley College, University of Melbourne June 30 – July 3 has a full and exciting program of papers and activities.

Sessions include: History of Australian Science Environmental History in Australia and the Pacific History and Philosophy of Statistics and Mathematics Science and Law, Teaching HPS Managing Assemblages Restoring the Science in the History of Early Scientific Institutions: The Early Royal Society and the Accademia del Cimento

Plenary Lecture by Kenan Malik, What Science can and cannot tell us about Human Nature’.

Dyason Lecture by Rod Home, Points or Rods: Lightening Rods and the Basis of Decision-Making in Late-18th-Century British Science.
