BSHS Monographs publishes work of lasting scholarly value that might not otherwise be made available, and aids the dissemination of innovative projects advancing scholarship or education in the field.

Dr JFM Clark, University of Kent at Canterbury, edited 11, Professors Janet Browne, James Secord and Hugh Torrens edited 12 and Dr John van Wyhe, University of Cambridge, edited 13. Dr Joe Cain became editor in 2008 and continues with the series.
