Department Profile The Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method is an exciting place to study philosophy. We offer a large range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The department, founded in 1946 by Professor Sir Karl Popper, is internationally recognised for its excellence in philosophy, especially in the philosophy of science and the social sciences.
