Science, Money and Power in an Uncertain World Dominique PESTRE (Centre Alexandre Koyré-EHESS, Paris)
Dominique Pestre is Professor of History of Science at the EHESS and the director of the Centre Alexandre-Koyré in Paris. Widely published on the history of physics and the world of physicians, he has developed a significant field of research on the production and circulation of knowledge in contemporary societies. His most recent publications include Heinrich Hertz: l’administration de la preuve (PUF, 2002, with M. Atten); Science, argent et politique (INRA, 2003) and Sciences pour la guerre: 1940-1960 (EHESS, 2004, with A. Dahan).
