Salary: Competitive, dependent on skills and experience

We seek a talented and ambitious Features Editor for Physics World, the leading international print and online magazine for physicists in academia, research, education and industry.

The priority in this role will be to commission and edit topical, accessible articles across all areas of physics – from astrophysics to medical imaging and from nanotechnology to climate change.

The successful candidate will have a degree in physics or a closely related subject, plus excellent writing and editing skills. Research experience in academia or industry – preferably to PhD level – is essential.

In addition, you’ll have to demonstrate a wide-ranging interest in physics and have the ability to convey complex subjects with clarity and flair. You will also have to show that you can deal confidently with eminent and busy authors within the scientific community.
