The organizing committee of the 4th European Spring School of History of Science and Popularisation wishes to inform interested participants that the closing date for grant applications has been extended to Friday, March 23rd. After this date, funding for the registration fees and lodging -but not for travel expenses- might be still available, but not sure.
The School, organized by the Institut Menorquí d’Estudis, the Societat Catalana d’Història de la Ciència i de la Tècnica and the European Society for the History of Science, will be held in Minorca (Balearic Islands), Spain, from May 17th to May 19th.
This year, it will deal with the intersections between science, publicity and propaganda. Lectures will be given by Dr. Vicente Benet (Univ. Jaume I, Castelló), Dr. Tilli Tansey (Wellcome Centre, London) and Dr. Mark Walker (Union College, Schenectady NY). The round table will be chaired by Dr. Enrique Perdiguero (Univ. Miguel Hernández, Alacant).
