Applications are invited for the half-time post of Lecturer in the History of Medicine for the period 1 September 2003 to 30 June 2004. The post holder will be required to teach a course on ‘Medicine and Modern Society 1850-1975, which forms part of the intercalated BSc in the History of Medicine. The post holder will supervise student dissertations as well as carrying out a full range of marking and examination activities. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will hold a postgraduate qualification, have some teaching experience and will have a background in the social history of British, European or American history of medicine in the period 1850-2000.
