Based in the School of Historical Studies you will make a full contribution to our undergraduate degree programme and make an outstanding contribution to our research profile. You will be expected to possess both the willingness and ability to develop research and teaching links with colleagues within the School and in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Candidates possessing research expertise in any geographical area or period will be considered, but those appointed will be expected to be able to demonstrate research interests and teaching experience that tie in with existing strengths among the historians in the School, namely British History, Continental European History, the history of the Americas and Chinese history. You should be alive to the possibilities of collaboration with the other disciplines in the School, namely Classics (including ancient history) and Archaeology. Tenable from 1 September 2004.
