Now in their fourth year, these popular Medical Walks offer an opportunity to explore the medical heritage of London,
led by a Blue Badge Guide.
The walk will start at the Royal College of Physicians, founded in 1518, with a tour of the historic collections in the College’s Grade 1 listed building designed by Sir Denis Lasdun.
Taking in the exclusive streets and hidden by-ways en route, the walk will move to the Anaesthesia Heritage
Centre, which traces over 150 years of the history of anaesthesia.
After stopping at various medical landmarks, the walk will end at the British Dental Association, with time to view the exhibits from its collection of 30,000 objects and images, and to take refreshments.
