Winner of the 2011 Dingle Prize, Patricia Fara is giving a lecture at the Royal Institution on Thursday 10 May 2012 from 7.00-8.30pm.
Description: Time seems to flow by – so how can it be captured in a static image? Space stretches out in every direction – so how can it be represented in two dimensions? Scientists often claim to create objective versions of reality – but are subjectivity and human judgement always involved? Patricia Fara reviews the visual languages and conventions that make seeing believing.
Tickets: £10 standard, £7 concessions and £5 RI Members
