The next talk in our series on ‘New Approaches to the
History of the Emotions’ will take place at 6pm on Monday next – 1

Dr Louis Charland of the University of Western Ontario will speak on
‘Reinstating the Passions: Lessons from the History of Passion and Emotion’
Dr Charland has published widely on both the history and philosophy of
emotion and has particular expertise in the history of psychiatry and
the work of Sir Alexander Crichton and Philippe Pinel. His webpage
