The Fitzwilliam Museum is planning a ground-breaking exhibition on Darwin, natural history and the arts to be organised with the Yale Centre for British Art, Yale University and to be shown in Yale and Cambridge in 2009. We wish to appoint a researcher/project manager well-versed in a relevant aspect of nineteenth century scientific/cultural history who will work initially on research towards the exhibition and the coordination of its associated publication and who will also manage and coordinate all practical aspects of the exhibition, with the support of museum staff and external contributors.
Candidates will have a first or second degree in a relevant field and will have practical museum/exhibition experience, including managing projects. The role requires excellent organisational ability and communication skills, both spoken and written.
