Research Associate: The Complete Work of Charles Darwin Online
Research Associate Applications are invited for a three-quarter time position as research assistant for a new AHRC funded project for three years starting 1 October 2005. The Complete Work of Charles Darwin Online will be based at the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH), University of Cambridge. The project aims to create a comprehensive scholarly collection of Darwin’s published and unpublished writings, except for correspondence, on the world wide web. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in history of science or a related field and experience with websites and xhtml. The post-holder will assist in transcribing manuscripts, work with the project’s database, contribute to editorial research and help organise a major conference.
