The Centre for the Social History of Health and Healthcare (CSHHH), Glasgow is currently seeking to recruit a Research Fellow to be based in the Department of History at the University of Strathclyde. This part-time (0.5) position is available for a one year period to work on two twentieth-century research projects within the CSHHH. The first project, organised by Dr James Mills, will run for six months and create a database from the records of mental health hospitals in India. The second, organised by Dr Arthur McIvor, will run for six months and will primarily involve oral interviewing and transcribing on a study of occupational health in Britain since 1945.
