The BSHS celebrates its 70th Anniversary this year, and in honour of this, Cambridge University Press has made Anna-K Mayer’s fantastic BJHS piece, “‘I have been very fortunate…’. Brief report on the BSHS Oral History Project: ‘The history of science in Britain, 1945–65’” freely available from now until the end of 2017.

This article was originally published in the BJHS in 1999, and goes into fantastic detail regarding the history of the BSHS through oral history interviews with our members and key contributors to our field.

We are eternally grateful to CUP for allowing this article to be open access in celebration of the BSHS Anniversary. You can access the article through the hyperlink below from now until the end of 2017!
