Greenwood Press, a publisher of reference materials for college, public, and high-school libraries, is seeking authors for volumes to complete a series of books on Science and Technology in Everyday Life. These volumes will be synthetic works, written at the level of a first-year undergraduate lecture course on the topic, that provide an overview of the impact that science and technology had on the daily lives of individuals during a particular period in history. The books will follow a pre-existing series format.
The volumes are:
– Science and Technology in Everyday Life in Medieval Europe – Science and Technology in Everyday Life in 20th Century America – Science and Technology in Everyday Life in Modern Europe
The ideal authors should have experience in teaching non-majors, the skills to summarize scholarship for non-scholars, and the ability to meet deadlines. Authors receive either royalties or a flat-fee payment.
