Registration is now open for the “Connecting with Collections” Symposium in Mill Lane Lecture Rooms, Cambridge, on Friday 27 September 2013.
This one-day symposium presents the results of an AHRC- and ACE-funded research programme across six of the University of Cambridge Museums. The research has explored novel ways both of using the rich Cambridge collections (including the Whipple Museum of the History of Science) and of presenting them to the public.
The keynote address, “Objects of Knowledge: Using Material Culture in Twentieth-Century Museums”, will be given by Dr Sam Alberti, Director of the Hunterian Museum.
The event is free; lunch and refreshments are provided. Space is limited and booking is essential. Please book online at http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/event/4511522084
