East Asian Science and Technology. The Department of History of Science and Technology of the Johns Hopkins University invites applications for a limited-term Assistant Professor appointment in the history of East Asian science and technology, beginning July 1, 2007. The position is renewable annually for up to three years. Area of specialization within the history of science and technology is open, but there is strong preference for a historian whose research is in the modern period (19th-20th century). Candidate must have PhD degree by June 30, 2007. Duties involve full participation in the undergraduate and graduate programs of the Department, and may include supervision of doctoral students.
