Position: Philosophy and History of Science Institution: Sarah Lawrence College Location: New York Date posted: 9/15/2005 The Humanities Group at Sarah Lawrence College announces an opening for a full-time, tenure-track position in Philosophy and History of Science beginning fall 2006. We are seeking someone able to teach broadly conceived courses dealing with the nature of scientific understanding and scientific practice, distinctions among the sciences, and the historical development of science from antiquity to the present as well as courses within his or her area of specialization. Candidates must have a Ph.D.; prior teaching experience is desirable.
