University of Cambridge Museums (UCM), is one of only 16 museum services nationally to secure Major Partnership Funding from the Arts Council England (ACE). The Connecting Collections programme (CC) will transform access to the exception collections and research resources of the eight University of Cambridge Museums. Substantial digital innovation, high-profile exhibitions, imaginative learning programmes and effective marketing across the University museums and with wider cultural partners will reach and benefit audiences locally, regionally, nationally and internationally
You will to take responsibility for the Opening Doors Project, involving the operational coordination and development of an accessible and sustainable network of work experience placements, apprenticeships, internships and volunteers on behalf of the eight University of Cambridge Museums (UCM).
You will be an enthusiastic and highly organised person with excellent IT skills and a working knowledge and understanding of statutory regulations e.g. Vetting and Barring, Health and Safety, risk assessments. You will also have experience of delivering support, advice or development opportunities for volunteers, work experience placements, internships and apprenticeships.
This post will be based at the Fitzwilliam Museum, and will be responsible for delivering a high quality programme across the eight museums.
Offers of employment will be conditional upon the satisfactory outcome of a Security check. Whether an outcome is satisfactory will be determined by the University.
