The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) Library is located in Regent’s Park in London, it offers extensive resources on all animals and their conservation.

Our holdings include :

books dating from the sixteenth century to the present. We hold almost all important zoological titles including many of the folio illustrated books of the nineteenth century
serials these are also listed in www.suncat.ac.uk
 ZSL’s archives
`Zoophemera’ ie zoo ephemera
Art works as well as manuscripts of Brian Houghton Hodgson and Samuel Richard Tickell
Historic photographs

Each month we feature something special from our collections on the Library pages of the main ZSL website http://www.zsl.org . Current displays in ZSL Library itself feature naturalist and explorer,  Alfred Russel Wallace. From the beginning of January we will be featuring `penguins’!

We welcome visits from  non-members however you will need proof of address on your first visit. ZSL Library is open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm.  We do not usually require you to make an appointment to visit ZSL Library unless you plan to consult any of our `special collections’.
