The Call for Papers for the 2004 BSHS Postgraduate Conference is now available on the conference website, at

The organisers welcome papers from all postgraduates working in History of Science, Technology and Medicine, and also those working in other disciplines whose research touches on any area of HSTM studies.

Because we want to offer as many postgraduates as possible the chance of presenting their papers, time will be limited during the conference – papers should therefore take approximately fifteen minutes to present, and definitely no more than twenty minutes.

For Masters students, and PhD students embarking on their first year of study, we are also offering the option of giving a brief introductory talk. Around five minutes in length, these presentations could be a great opportunity to sketch some outlines of your work so far, and ask for feedback.

Please note that the deadline for applications is WEDNESDAY 5th NOVEMBER. Applications after that date will be considered if places are still unfilled, but please contact the organisation committee before completing a registration form, to check the availability of presentation slots.

Subsidised accommodation is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
