David Wright, ‘Downs: the history of a disability’, Friday 26th July, 6pm, Manchester Museum. Free entry. All welcome.

The 2013 BSHS Dingle Prize Lecture on ‘Downs: the history of a disability’ will be given by Prof. David Wright at the Manchester Museum, as part of the 24th International Congress of History of Science, Technology and Medicine on Friday 26th July.

This event consists of a talk on the themes of Wright’s book (which won the 2013 BSHS Dingle Prize for the best popular history of science book), followed by questions, and is sure to provide a fascinating insight into the history of disability. The event is aimed at a general audience, but all are welcome to come along and support the wider public reach of both the Society and the field.
