Membership Enquiries

Registration forms and other information for potential new members are available from the Join the BSHS page on this site. If you need further information about joining the Society, or have a query about an existing subscription, please email office@bshs.org.uk

Conference Planning

Anyone interested in arranging a meeting on behalf of or in association with the BSHS should contact the Conferences Committee at conferences@bshs.org.uk. For queries relating to conferences already planned, please refer to the contact information supplied in the relevant conference literature, or consult our conference pages for further information.

Website Queries

Questions relating specifically to the running or content of this website should be addressed to the Website Editor at web@bshs.org.uk.

Please do not send link exchange requests (commercial or otherwise): the content of our links directory is decided entirely on the basis of relevance to the Society’s aims and membership. We welcome suggestions of links to resources of specific relevance to the history of science, technology and medicine: please send these to the Website Editor.

We also compile a current News and Events listings service (see below) to publicise activities in the field. We cannot offer to provide publicity for non-Society activities elsewhere on the site (unless they are formally endorsed by the Society, eg BSHS-sponsored meetings.)

Announcements of events and activities

Announcements of interest to the history of science, technology and medicine community are welcome and may be listed on our News and Events guide. Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting your announcement.

Other Queries

The Council and Committees page lists all members of the Society’s governing Council and its various organisational subcommittees, with links to contact information where available.

For contact details relating to the Journal (BJHS), Newsletter, prizes or outreach activities, please see the relevant pages on this site.
