History of Science/Technology. The Department of History at Yale University intends to appoint an Assistant or Associate Professor in the history of the physical sciences and/or related technologies beginning July 1, 2004. Duties will include teaching in the History Department and in the University’s Graduate Program in the History of Science and Medicine. Field,region, and period are open, but preference will be given to applicants knowledgeable about the history of these subjects in the European tradition since 1800. The search committee will begin considering applications on September 15, 2003.
