The culmination of several years work, ‘Science in the 20th Century and Beyond’ is an overview history that guides the reader through the extraordinary developments in science over the past 11 decades and the explosion of excellent scholarship on the subject. It is published by Polity Press (in March in the UK and April in the US).

To celebrate Jon will be giving a talk,’ Science in the 20th Century and Beyond: Working Worlds and their Sciences’ at 5pm on Monday the 26th March, in the Garwood Lecture Theatre, South Wing, UCL, where he will be talking about some of the central ideas, themes and arguments of the book.

This will be followed by a launch party, with wine, beer and nibbles, from 6-8pm in the Haldane Room, UCL.
