BREAKING THE CREATIVE BARRIERS: The Arts and Sciences in Collaboration October 13 — 15, 2005 Iowa State University Memorial Union
Presentations and discussion groups will explore the following topics: – the history of interactions between art and science; – the experience of artists and scientists who have worked collaboratively on projects; – the creative, intellectual, and structural barriers that traditionally separate the arts and sciences; – the potential for twenty-first-century collaborations between art and science.
The Iowa State University Center for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities is cosponsoring a symposium that will bring together scholars, researchers, artists, and educators who have experience or an interest in bridging the barriers that traditionally separate the arts and sciences.
