Hello and welcome to our Summer issue of Viewpoint.

 

This edition focuses on issues related to knowledge production, dissemination, and loss: the pedagogical value of celebrating local historical figures; as well as geneating student engagement with natural history exhibits; how tensions appeared between local and global epistemologies in Nanyang natural histories, and how one (largely uncredited) man was largely responsible for the discovery of DNA.
