The National Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory Greenwich are currently advertising for a Curator of Navigation. The Museum houses the national reference collection of nautical instruments, supported by extensive manuscript and library material. Candidates should have a creative and inter-disciplinary approach to research and a proven track record in either the history of science or maritime history, combined with an interest in exploring the history of navigation within its broader historical context. The candidate would also need to demonstrate a clear interest in the study of objects, and have either a post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience.
