The School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in conjunction with the Humanities Advanced Technology and Information Institute, University of Glasgow, Rice University’s Fondren Library, and Duke University Libraries, is pleased to announce the fifth Digitization for Cultural and Heritage Professionals course, May 16 – May 21, 2004. The course ran at Rice University, Houston in 2000 and 2001 and in UNC-Chapel Hill in 2002 and 2003. With a new curriculum for 2004, this one-week intensive course will consist of lectures; seminars; lab-based practicals (offering both guided tuition, as well as an opportunity for individual practice) and visits to the UNC and Duke University libraries. The teaching team includes Drs. Seamus Ross and Ian Anderson from Glasgow, Dr. Helen Tibbo from UNC-CH, and Dr. Paul Conway from Duke University.
Enrollment is limited, so please register early to confirm a place. COSTS, REGISTRATION, AND DEADLINES.
