The Drusilla Dunjee Houston Memorial Scholarship Award is a $300 cash award, sponsored by the Black Classic Press and administered by the Association of Black Women Historians (ABWH). It is open to black women graduate students of history or a historically related field.

Requirements for Applicants: Black women graduate students currently pursuing an M.A. degree or Ph.D. degree in history or a historically related field; Short writing sample using primary sources; Resume; Two letters of recommendation (at least one from the applicant’s major professor or advisor); Copy of applicant’s transcript.

Applicants are responsible for compiling three copies of the above documents and submitting them in one complete packet.
