The final registration deadline for the 24th International Congress of Science, Technology and Medicine (iCHSTM 2013) is MONDAY OF NEXT WEEK (1 July). We regret that the scale of the programme-management task means that we cannot accept any registrations received after Monday.

Please note that, in order to ensure as accurate a programme as possible for delegates, it will be necessary to remove any unregistered participants from the programme before preparing the final version. If you are identified as a paper presenter, commentator, chair or session organiser, please register immediately to ensure your inclusion.

The Congress is now confirmed as the largest event in the field, with well over 1600 participants involved in activities across a full week from Sunday 21 to Sunday 28 July. The main academic programme is here:

and is supported by a huge range of satellite activities. In the evenings, there will be receptions at the city’s Town Hall and principal museums; a formal Congress dinner at Old Trafford, home of Manchester United Football Club (Saturday); a diverse and more informal “Fringe” programme of music, comedy and social events; and a vigorous public programme including the UK premiere of the Turing Machine Opera, developed by Ooppera Skaala of Helsinki:

together with a huge (and still growing!) programme of guided tours, visits and excursions:

For those unable to attend in person, we are planning to make various presentations available as live online streams or media downloads, and selected participants will be taking questions via Twitter or the iCHSTM blog:
