Attached is our flyer for the 2011 MBL-ASU History of Biology Seminar, held at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole and sponsored by Arizona State University. This year’s seminar will explore the history of cell biology from the late 19th to early 21st centuries. We are also pleased to offer a short HPS Informatics Workshop directly following. The goal of this workshop is to introduce researchers in the HPS community to informatics skills and ideas, helping to forge a community of those with shared needs and interests. We will give preference to those who can attend both events, but we will accept applications for either. We have some funding to support students and independent scholars, though we do appreciate any contributions by attendees’ home institutions that help us stretch our funding. We especially appreciate those institutions that have been supportive over the 23 years that this seminar has run. Thanks for your help in getting to word (and the flyer with its information) to the right people. Please share our flyer or seminar website with anyone who might be interested.Important Dates:Application Deadline January 31st, 2011MBL-ASU History of Biology Seminar May 15th – 21st , 2011HPS Informatics Workshop May 23rd – 26th, 2011Cheers,Jane and ManfredJane MaienscheinManfred LaubichlerSchool of Life SciencesArizona State UniversityTempe AZ [email protected]<UrlBlockedError.aspx> or
