Week 4: 22 February: Brigitte Chamak (Centre de Recherche Psychotrope, Santé Mentale, Société, CNRS, INSERM and Paris 5): ‘Representations of autism: changes and controversies’
Week 7: 15 March: Kelly Loughlin (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London): ‘The problem of the salesman/educator: central versus local in post-war health education’
Week 8: 5 April: Helen Blackman (Centre for Medical History, Exeter University): ‘Content to wait for Nature’s own experiments’: Cambridge embryology and the ascendancy of the experimental method in the early twentieth century.
Week 10: 19 April: John Pickstone (Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine, Manchester): ‘Artificial hips and the history of medicine as technology’
