HISTORY OF TECHNOLOGY
The Department of History at Auburn University seeks to make up to three tenure-track appointments in the History of Technology, at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, based on credentials. Ph.D.s and ABDs from all fields within the History of Technology, including Aerospace History, will be considered. Ph.D. in History prior to employment date is preferred, but outstanding candidates who are in the final stages of dissertation writing will be considered. Candidates who have not completed the Ph.D. by the start date will be hired at the rank of instructor. The appointees will teach Technology & Civilization in the core curriculum and offer undergraduate and graduate level courses in their specialties. Appointments will begin no later than August 16, 2009, contingent on funding.
