Starting this month, New Scientist magazine will be running regular history of science features, and the BSHS’s own Dr. Patricia Fara has written the first one! You can read her article on Émilie du Châtelet, a remarkable figure in the History of Science who has too often been overshadowed by those studying Voltaire, Newton, or even Locke. Patricia sat down with the BSHS News Editor, Jessica van Horssen on a sunny April day in London to talk about her experiences writing a feature for the New Scientist, and how the process of doing so encouraged her to think about how we communicate the History of Science to a public audience. Have a listen to find out more, and make sure to pick up a copy of the 28th May New Scientist to read all about Émilie du Châtelet!
