The NBA is an independent institution under the supervision of the University of Copenhagen with its own board of directors.  The applications will be evaluated by an international committee of historians of science, and the appointment is scheduled to start on or about 1 September.

Travel to and from Copenhagen before and after the two years of appointment will be reimbursed.  Salary, pension and terms of employment are in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).  The salary depends on seniority, as agreed between the Ministry of Finance and the AC.  Currently, starting salaries are about 31,500 DKK (€ 4,200) per month for postdocs – plus full benefits including pension.  Non-Danish candidates coming from abroad may be eligible for tax reductions.
