One Year Postdoctoral Position in the History of Science and Technology

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher to assist in the development of research projects and funding applications. The appointee will work with staff in a variety of ways, including researching topics, preparing applications and undertaking teaching to release staff to concentrate on applications. The Centre is looking particularly to develop its research activity in the following areas: the history of the physical sciences; the history of computing; the history of technology/biotechnology; the history of the environment; and science and its publics. The appointee will be expected to have a background in one of these areas.

Salaries will be on the Research R1A scale (£18,265 – £21,125 under review). The post is available immediately, for one year in the first instance and may be extended for a further six months. Informal inquiries can be made to Professor Michael Worboys. Email: [email protected]
