Peter Salcher and Ernst Mach — A Successful Teamwork Symposium at Rijeka, Croatia, September 23rd – 25th, 2004

You will be notified about the acceptance of your submission(s) by January 31st 2004. Peter Salcher pioneered the ultra high-speed-photography in the years 1886-1887 together with the famous physicist and philosopher Ernst Mach, at that time professor at Prague University.

The topics for scientific papers can include:

– the cooperation of Salcher and Mach in the field of thermodynamics of shockwave phenomena – Mach as a pioneer of education physics on the secondary level – Salcher as a professor of physics and a photo-expert – Salcher´s studies with compressed air in the Whitehead torpedo- factory – Salcher and Mach as an example of successful research crossing borders – the development of the theory of shockwave phenomena – thermodynamics of shockwave phenomena – state of art in the field of supersonic theory in modern earth and space technology
