Research internships in the history of science and technology
National Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory, Greenwich, will be offering three or four student research internships in the history of science and technology for 2008.
The successful candidates will be expected to carry out a piece of research based on the Museum’s collections relating to astronomy, cartography, scientific exploration, navigation and time, to be presented in a final report. The internships are usually for 6-8 weeks, but more or less by agreement, depending on the project, and an allowance is paid at the rate of £1000 per month.
Full details of the scheme and how to apply can be found on the Museum website by typing ‘internship’ into the search box at the top of the home page – www.nmm.ac.uk
