The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin announces a

Karl Schädler postdoctoral fellowship

for an outstanding junior scholar. The fellowship is financed from the “Liechtenstein-Foundation for History of Science”. Applicants should work on projects in the history and epistemology of biology, that can contribute to the on-going project “A Cultural History of Heredity”. A description of this project can be found at http://www.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de/HEREDITY/. The fellowships are open to scholars of all nationalities who have received their PhD within the last 5 years.

The stipend is 2000 € per month, starting from January 1, 2009 (or at the earliest), over a one or two years period, depending on the date of the beginning.
