The Medical Film Symposium will take place in Philadelphia, PA from

January 20-23, 2010. Featuring four nights of screenings and one full

day of scholarly presentations, the symposium will take place at the

Mutter Museum and various arts and medical venues around the city.

The purpose of the symposium is to investigate the history and the

ethical implications of medical film material. Each screening will

explore a different category of medical film: narrative, surgical,

educational and experimental. Presenters include archivists,

scholars, filmmakers and physicians.
