50 years of the BJHS
Issue #99 is dedicated to our sister publication, the British Journal for the History of Science, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2012. Current scholars reflect on the original issue’s contents: ranging over time periods, disciplines, places and people, the five articles provide a fascinating historiographic time capsule (2-5). Former BJHS editors Simon Schaffer and Janet Browne select their favourites from the BJHS archives (3, 5), and answer questions on the editorial role (6). Jim Mussell provides a thought-provoking discussion of the place of journals in the twenty-first century in his feature article (1-2).
